Earlier this week Sue and I ran a training day for one of our 2011 Grooms, Jonathan, When he booked us for his wedding we had a long chat about photography and the fact they were off on Safari for Honeymoon and he asked us advice on the best camera and lens, I jokingly replied “A Nikon D3 of course” we then chatted about the great range of Nikon “starter” DSLR cameras as well as the Canon options, Jonathan decided that he wanted the best and purchased a D3 which although surprised me, it made me very happy,
Jonathan is already a very keen photographer but wanted to learn all about the D3 and getting the best from it, We ran our “getting to know your camera” workshop and had a fab time, after our initial time here at the studio we left for our favorite place Marwell Zoo,
We did process a few on the day but we spent so much time shooting that I had to do these today, Here are a few of his shots, Although we have a couple of D3’s I am always in awe of this camera and the photos it produces.
Jonathan, I hope you love these as much as we do, and I look forward to seeing your work from the river next week

Yesterday we ran a one 2 one workshop well actually it was a one 2 two workshop because Iain and Louise both joined us and because they were from the same studio we did both together as one workshop.
We had a great day starting at 08:30 and finishing at 5pm and we were all totally shattered, We had 2 great models, Amy and Ruth, we have worked with them both several times and as always they were great.
Looking at the photo’s briefly this morning, I am delighted with them and know that Iain and Louise will be too, I will post a few later over on our Boudoir website.
Please let us know if your interested in a boudoir workshop, we would love to see you.

This morning we ran a 2 hour workshop for Alan who came a while ago with his D700. Alan has a party to photograph this weekend and wanted to get to know his SB900 flashgun as well as simplified flash settings, We had a fun couple of hours and Sue & I look forward to seeing your party pics soon.
You too can book bespoke training from £60 per hour for shorter sessions like this.

Last Tuesday amidst all the snow chaos we ran a training day for Henry, it was Henry’s second training day with us, last year we did a day teaching him to get the most out of his D700, This turned out to be a very expensive day for us because shortly after that we switched to Nikon’s
.
Henry received one of our training day vouchers from all of his family combined and decided to book a day to learn how to properly store and edit his images, we spent the morning chatting about safe uploading and cataloguing as well as backing up and then moved onto editing in photoshop.
We had a great day even if it was cut slightly short because of the incoming snow.
