St Patricks Day Race

2 runs in a week so something must be happening 🙂

Last night Sue and I travelled to Portsmouth so that I could run the St Patricks Day 5k road race run by my good friend Rob (details below) and it was a mega race with awesome bling.

When we arrived I spend the time catching up with lots of running friends and generally talking Cycling as one does 😉 but soon enough it was time to line up and head off.

I had no idea what to expect because this was my first tarmac race since November 1st last year and only my becoming run but O headed off running about 8:30 min miles and continued for the whole race so I was delighted. Most importantly it was pain free and comfortable and I could have gone on too so that felt good.

Hopefully once I get back into my running my blogs will become more about the race than my legs haha but this was a great one, out and back towards Southsea and finish to a huge crowd and lots of support.

As I finished I was handed a whopper of a medal and then the choice of a Guiness or 2 bottles of beer or wine plus sandwiches and snacks 🙂 awesome

Another fabulous race from Believe and Achieve

Next race is Sundays Duathlon
