Here are a few of our shots from the past couple of years, I think you will agree that they are a lot of fun :-)

We meet most of our couples either here in our studio or at their wedding venue for a shoot as well as a coffee, we also meet our couples for a pre wedding chat again here or at the venue, by the time we have done this we are like pals and it makes the day run so much smoother.

Its simple really, the more work Sue and I put in up front,  the better the wedding photos,  is there any surprise that we both adore our job :-)

Here are a few photos and we think you will agree that the connection between our couples and us is a good one, we also think this is very rare,

Some of you know that I had an operation scheduled for sometime in February to have my Umbilical Hernia corrected,  I know I hear ya, isn’t that a children’s complaint :-)  well yes it is but like most things with me I try t be a little different. here is how I discovered the hernia.

Since loosing some weight and falling in love with my fitness regime again I noticed a little lump in my tummy button so mentioned it to my Dr who explained what it was, well it got worse and worse so I asked for the corrective operation but explaining that it would have to be before our weddings started in March,  he laughed and said we don’t operate by appointment :-)   Off I went to see the surgeon for a chat and thankfully he was cool with the wedding thing so offered me feb 14th,  I thought great that won’t even mess with our valentine shoots :-)  somebody was looking after me.

anyway last week the hernia started causing me problems and started to strangulate so on my Dr’s advice I called the surgeon and he offered to do the op last Friday,   I went into the RHS Care hospital in Southampton at 7am and had the most amazing experience,  great nurses staff and Dr’s and the best surgeon that I could wish for and I was finished and ready to leave by noon,

Funny thing is the anaesthesiologist or anaesthetists as we call them recognised me :-)  we was a keen photographer and whilst I was in recovery we chatted about photography and I even got asked for a card from one of the nurses getting married in December,  Thanks Paul,  now that would make a great blog story wouldn’t it !

anyway I am back home for a couple days now and feeling good, a little sore but thats to be expected,  I am thankful to the staff at the RHS for the amazing care and very grateful for Jeanette for moving her shoot from friday to Thursday and for Thea and Andy for moving there long standing e-shoot from saturday to next month,  other than that it won’t interfere with work which I am so thankful for.

Lastly,  don’t worry there are no goorie photographs coming,  Sue is a bit squeamish !

We met with Dan and Caroline at there church which is the very impressive Portsmouth Cathederal for a look around and to discuss their day in detail,  We then went onto Whale island which is a lovely naval base in Portsmouth and where the wedding reception is being held,  Also the home of the Queens “funeral” carriage which is housed in air controlled luxury (unlike many of the men I bet) :-)

Digby had a wonderful time in the grounds as did Sue and I,   We offer a free of charge engagement shoot to all of our couples and its proved over the years to be an invaluable way to get to know our amazing clients,

Here are a couple of photos from the shoot,  although it was a freezing January day we did warm up walking around and had some fun,  we cant wait to shoot their wedding in March.

Dear Julian and Sue

Firstly my apologies for such a delay in writing this thank you card. It has been a busy few months since Keith and I got married in October.

We both wanted to say a massive thank you for the wonderful job you both did with our wedding photography. The pictures are wonderful. You were both absolutely brilliant and seemed to glide around effortlessly taking beautiful photographs and mingling with our guests as if you were members of the family, many of our guests commented on how lovely you both were and how amazing the photographs are. It just goes to show that while anyone with a camera can take a picture, it takes a much more personal touch to really capture the kind of amazing pictures that you are both known for.

It was really lovely of you to send the colour photographs of the speeches which I appreciate is not something you usually do and we are both grateful that you took the time to do that for us, we would definitely like to come in and put together an album with you both but I cant even suggest dates as Keith has already been deployed on operations. He will be back between Aug-Dec so we might have to wait until then. We hope you had a lovely Christmas and all the best for 2012.

We had a great afternoon with Andy and Emma and in fact went to our local Chilworth Arms for dinner,  We loved meeting Emma and seeing Andy again.

Sue and I would like to wish Andy all the very best for his trip to Afghanistan and like all of our forces no matter where you are we would like to thank you for your service.
