We often get asked by our clients if we do any photoshop work such as removing spots or signs and we are pleased to say we do most of this as a matter of course during our workflow but on occasions we are asked to carry out something a little more complicated which is when we turn to our friends at Metomorphosart who look after our complicated retouching.

Today Sue & I visited Bracken Place Day Nursery to take a few more staff photographs to go on there wall displays to help the parents recognize the staff as well as to familiarize  the staff to the children.

We do this several times over the year and always enjoy our time there.  It was great to see all the children again enjoying a brief  spell in the Sun.

I was very pleased this morning to hear from a great client of ours,  Waquas Naseem, Waquas wrote me to say that his wife Amna was about to take part in the race for life  in aid of Cancer Research UK.Sue & I were delighted to offer our donation and would like to wish Amna all the very best for the run,Last year we sponsored a couple of our brides and I am sure there will be more and we will of course keep you updated.

Sue & I have had a busy time since returning from Holiday in February and because we had a new blog being designed we have been unable to share most of our shoots with you all. Here are a few photographs from some of our studio and location work.This was a great studio shoot and needless to say we got a little bit adventurous.

 

 

Here are a few of our 2008 and 2009 couples who wanted some engagement photographs.

 

 

 

 

Sometimes were even lucky enough to get outside in the winter for our Engagement shoots, sometimes our couples even bring there pets

 

 

 

 

This was a perticullarly personal shoot for Sue and I, Scott and Helen are photographers and recently had there first baby, Jessica, well listening to the great photographer David Williams Sue & I decided to photograph them as a family, we had such fun and despite the fact that there photographers we would love to do it again. As most of you probably know us Photographers rarely get our family photographs taken, shame on us

Good morningSue & I would like to wish all of our friends and clients a wonderful christmas and hope that Santa was good to you this yearwe had a nice Christmas day with just the 4 of us and a wonderful Turkey dinner which I obviously ate too much of and am suffering this morning, but never mind were off to another lunch in an hour or so !.2007 has been a fantastic year for us, we completed 43 fantastic weddings and have booked 28 for next year. This is up on last year so we are very much looking forward to 2008. We also did some fantastic Portraits and have decided once again to try to give our portraits a little more time next year, We did launch a new portrait site this year which we both love and its been very popular Our Portrait site.Our 200 plansWe have some fantastic plans for 2008 which we are both very excited about, We have our media company working on a new giveaway product which is coming along great, we are so pleased with what they did for us this year. We also have some new albums coming very soon which will again add some fantastic additions to our range. We have another new ma pro coming in February/March and once that arrives we will be totally mac which is very exciting and just a little scaryAll of our weddings have ben stored on mac machines since 2006 so there are no data issues which is good.I guess our most exciting project is our website, We are currently looking for a new website, although our site is great and unique as we had it custom designed it is almost 4 years old now and technology has moved on so far in that time. We will of course go custom again and almost positively with a USA designer but we have yet to decide, To be fair this site took us a year to decidde and finalize.Having just extended the studio we have no plans there apart from a coat of paint and a few new wall prints.We are off to America next week firstly for a wedding photography convention and then a couple of weeks in the sun but we are avalable to contact via email if you have any questions.So as we move into 2008 Sue & would like to thank you all for a brilliant year and wish you al the very best for 2008.Jules x

Firstly apologies for not blogging during November but Sue & I have had our busiest month so far this year, Although we only had 1 wedding we have been all over the Uk photographing various people, We have photographed a couple hundred Children which was fun but toughat our one and only Nursery school we do. Bracken place is a lovely nursery school and each year we photograph the children there, we always donate around 10% of the proceeds to there chosen charity and this year like last Sue & I will also donate something as well.We then traveled to London to Photograph 30 Executives which was even tougherthan the kids. We decided both times to take the train and I am pleased to say my new iPhone came in very handy.We have also photographed quite a few portrait sittings which has been fun, We did 2 weddings this past weekend and we have 3 more before Christmas and then our 3 weeks in Florida !!!Jules x

Sue & I are pleased to say that we have now completed our new waiting room and gallery and we are both chuffed to bits with it. We decided that we needed a waiting room to make our viewings a little more comfortable and to avoid any crossovers with our clients.We are once again very happy with our wall prints and as ever they were printed by our lab in Scotland Loxley colour.Jules x

Well for a long while now I have toyed with the thought of swapping to a mc for my processing and general workflow and I am pleased to say that after much debate I have made the first plunge into the dark side !I started my Mac swap with a 15″ Mac book pro which I am typing on right now and I love it, so much simpler and faster than its predecessor, my dual core PC lappy. After just a few frantic days I have already got used to the workings and ways f the Mac and am already getting confused when I log on to m PC.Over the next week or so I will get a Mac Mini to set up in my study ( up in the house ) I will only use t for email and calendar but Sue Uses that machine for her general web browsing and most important our Sainsbury shoppingmost importantly we can then sync our emails and calendars which will make life easier. We do already do this on our PC’s but its a pain.I will also get the new Apple iPhone in a couple weeks which will replace my current phone as well as my PDA which again will make life easier as well as more funI mean have you seen the iPhone !!!! sexy or what.Lastly either just before Christmas I will get a Mac Pro Quad which will replace my Studio machine, This is without a doubt the most exciting part for me as well as being the most expensivenot only is the machine expensive but I need to get all my sonet boxes reconfigured to work which is where al my weddings are stored.Well so far so god and I look forward to the next couple of months,But I cannot help feeling what next I never expected to move away from m PC.s,I do like that new Nikon D3 !!!!!!!Jules x
