Terry & Sarah @ The Elvetham

On Saturday we joined Terry and Sarah at The Elvetham Hotel for there wedding on what turned out to be an amazing september day.  We started the day with Sarah and her bridesmaids for some relaxed prep shots before meeting with Terry and the lads in the bar !    we then had a wonderful ceremony and then drinks on the lawn which was beautiful.

After a lovely wedding breakfast and some fun speeches we headed out for a few evening shots and then some serious dancing before a break for the Hog Roast which was very scrummy and moreish,

Later in the evening we were treated to a magnificent firework display which finished our evening.

New toys, opp’s I mean tools

After moving across to Nikon earlier this year and after a fantastic wedding season we decided to buy another camera, This time its Nikon’s flagship D3X which is beyond fantastic and can only be describes as an awesome camera, and with nearly 25 million pixels to play with its perfect for our studio and our beautiful portraits.

It was a huge investment but one we think you will notice as we post a few photos in a week or 2,  Sue & I have always used pro cameras despite the fact that we could at least half our equipment costs if we used lesser models like a lot of people out there, We take comfort in knowing that we have the best equipment money can buy and that tied with us two being the best photographers money can buy, its a win win situation:-)

We will post a few portrait very soon,

Jules

Ollie and Michelle @ Manor Barn

On Saturday we joined Ollie and Michelle for their wedding at Manor Barn in Buriton and just as expected it was a day filled with tears and laughter.  We arrived at Manor Barn to find Michelle and her parents were enjoying a picnic on the lawns underneath the chestnut tree which is a pretty perfect day to start any day and especially your wedding day, Michelle  bluntly refused to share her balaclava (ha ha) cakes but apart from that it was perfect.  We  then started our day with Michelle and her Mum for some preparation photos before being joined by her sister and day, the whole day was very relaxed and this all started here.

We then met with Ollie and the boys who were dead set on capturing a chicken for some reason:-) anyway after several failed attempts we left them to it and joined Michelle ready for an amazingly emotional service thanks to the Mums and their readings.

Then out onto the lawns for some lovely photos and drinks before heading on down to the duck pond to feed the ducks with all the children, Ollie was the only naughty one who refused to give his bread to the ducks:-)  (see Ollie, I told you I would get my own back)  after the ducks we all headed back to the barn and into diner which was roast lamb cooke by these guys and it was scrummy, a few drinks later and the speeches started which again were very emotional,

We finished our day with some dancing and then a lovely night shot,  Thanks guys, we will remember your wedding for a long while to come, great venue, great guests and you were a great couple.

Gareth and Lyndsey @ the Marriott Bournemouth

Our second wedding this weekend was with Gareth and Lyndsey who were recommended to us by Steve and Helen who’s wedding we shot a couple of years ago in Rhinefield.  We started our day with Gareth at home before leaving to meet the land train at Allum Chime, after a beer at the local bar we all boarder the land train for the short journey to the cliff top lift which took us right up to the hotel and to meet Lyndsey who was getting ready there.  After a few prep shots we headed off for the ceremony which was out in the pergola area and what a wonderful day it turned out to be for it.

After the ceremony and a few relaxed photos we headed on into the wedding breakfast, unfortunately David, Gareth’s dad was taken poorly then and missed the rest of the wedding but Sue & I were pleased to hear of some progress the next day and continue to wish him our very best for a speedy recovery.

After the meal we headed down to the Beach for some portraits and tehn back to dance the night away, and boy did everyone have a great night

Thanks for a great day guys

Wedding photography at Highcliffe Castle with Richard and Tania

On Friday we did the first of our 2 weddings for this weekend which was with Richard and Tania at Highcliffe Castle which is fast becoming a very popular venue for us which is great news.  We had an amazing day with Richard and Tania starting with a couple of hours with the girls in the morning over the road at Horseshoe Cottages which is ideally suited to Highcliffe Castle and perfect for staying over the night before.  We had some lovely bridal shots with probably our most relaxed bride in a long while, the girls were all great fun and up for the photos.  Our very good friend and “top florist” Natalie who owns Flowers by Design in Highcliffe did the flowers and as you will see below they were top shelf as always, We love working with Natalie because just like us, nothing is too much trouble and every attention to detail is taken care of.

We then left to meet a rather nervous groom at the Gallion pub for a few shots before heading off to the Castle on foot, it was great as always to meet all the lads and to wander down to Highcliffe with them,  This weekend we were blessed with great groomsmen and had help as and when it was needed so thanks very much guys.

After capturing Tania arrive and a very romantic ceremony we headed off to Highcliffe  beach for some wonderful shots which was followed by some family groups and then a wonderful meal,  we headed into dance the night away and finish what was a truly wonderful wedding.

On a closing note, I would like to thank all the photographers at Richard and Tania’s wedding (yes there were quite a few of you)  for  not getting in our way, you were all very respectful and we very much appreciate it.

Chris and Carly @ New Place

Our last wedding of the weekend was with Chris and Carly which was at New Place in Shirrel Heath and it was a wonderful day filled with amazing details as you will see from Carly’s amazing shoes. They were in fact my favorite ever wedding shoes and along with lots of other little details they helped make for a fantastic wedding.

We started our day at home with Carly and the girls and then off to St Edmunds to meet Father Paul for the first time and it was a joy, we had a bit of fun with the boys before Carly arrived in a beautiful Rolls Royce driven by Osbourne Wedding Cars .

After a beautiful ceremony we headed off to New Place for a few photos out on the lawns, it was not as warm as it has been so we then headed off inside to a wonderful wedding breakfast and speeches followed by some great moves on the dancefloor.

Chris and Carly were great to work with as were their families. thanks guys for looking after us

Russell and Mel @ Audleys Wood

On Saturday we joined Russell and Melanie for there wedding at Audleys Wood in Basingstoke and had a fantastic day, We have not worked at Audleys for a few years and it was nice to be back, we actually have 4 more booked there over the next 18 months or so.

We started our day with Mel and the girls at home for some very relaxed preparation shots and some lovely sandwiches thanks to the ever organized Joanne  who kept on top of looking after everyone througout the day and into the night. We then headed off to the pub to meet Russell and his mates for some fun portraits before meeting at the church where there were already masses of people waiting for Mel to arrive, When that time came she did it in style thanks to our pal Tony from Apollo Carriages and his beautiful Rolls Royce.

After a beautiful and emotional ceremony led by Rev. Jeremy Vaughan  we all headed off to Audleys wood for some relaxed drinks on the lawns, as you can see below we were hounded by the local paparazzi trio  but I am pleased to say it did not interfere with our work:) they were small enough to shove out of the way lol

After a great set os speeches and some wonderful food we had some great dancing before finishing on the outside night shoot.

All in all a fantastic wedding with some wonderful guest whom made us feel very welcome indeed.
