Yvonne marries her Mr Wright!

On Friday we travelled overseas to photograph the long anticipated wedding of Ian and Yvonne on the Isle-of-Wight on what was one of the islands busiest weekends the scooter rally, Ian and Yvonne are scooter fans and it made the perfect setting for their 1960’s themed wedding which was simply stunning.

We started our day with Yvonne and the girls and after an hour or so of madness (mainly brought on by Clare) ha ha we left for Albert Cottage hotel to meet Ian and the boys who were arriving by scooter before Yvonne arrived in her dads Mk l Cortina and O boy it looked fantastic, Great work dad.

After a beautiful ceremony we headed out into the sunshine for a few photographs before the wedding breakfast which was scrummy and then some portraits across the road in Osbourne House thanks to Douglas from English Heritage which was amazing. We then headed back to the gardens where so much was going on I would need a new blog just to post it all,

Perfect wedding with a great bunch of people.

Dan and Jo @ The Spreadeagle Hotel

On Friday we joined Dan and Jo for their wonderful wedding at the Spreadeagle Hotel in Midhurst West Sussex.  Last year on Christmas Eve we photographed Dan’s brother Roger’s wedding in Midhurst when he married Jasmine so we knew we were in for another great “Davey” wedding and we were not disappointed. I was a little sad because Jo was giving up her surname “Porter” can you even imagine why she would want to be J Davey when she was J Porter ! :-)

We started our day with Jo and her children Izzie and Anna (banana) for some lovely preparation shots before heading off to the pub with dan and the lads, after that we headed on back to meet the registrars for a lovely ceremony in the Polo Room which is an amazing place to get married. Then out into the beautiful gardens for some fun and of course bubbly and nibbles ( I cant spell canapé’s ) before a few family photos and soem wonderful portraits of the new Davey family.

After that Horris called us in for the most amazing buffet which was followed by the speeches and then more realizing in the garden whilst the band setup in the gorgeous jacobean room. We were then entertained by the band The Move-Ons who were just fantastic and when Sue & I eventually left everybody was up and dancing,

We always have great weddings at the Speadeagle hotel, It has beautiful gardens and amazing architecture and history and the beautiful rooms and if we ever get rain we also have the luxury of the conservatory so from a photography point of view its a win win and as we have said before the staff are just amazing from start to finish.

Thanks again to Emma and Horris for looking after Sue & I and to everybody at the wedding for being so much fun

David and Emily @ Rhinefield House

On Sunday as a birthday treat for me we joined David and Emily for their wedding in Rhinefield House for what was a beautiful day filled with laughter and tears,  We both had such a fantastic time and I cant honestly think of a better way to spend a birthday.

We started the day with Emily for a few prep shots and then Dave, then a beautiful ceremony followed and then drinks on the sun drenched lawns which was amazing. 90 minutes and a whole lot of photos later we headed into diner and after a great meal we had some very emotional speeches and at one stage there was barely a dry eye in the great hall including the odd member of staff sobbing into her handkerchief.

This was one of those weddings that went very well from start to finish and one that everybody involved should be very proud of because every one of the 77 guests had an amazing day,

Well done guys. have a safe trip
