On Friday we joined Ray and Laura for our second wedding of the weekend at Marwell Zoo which was a “Roaring success” and great fun to be part of, We started our day with Laura and the girls back at her mums house before heading off to Marwell to meet Ray and the boys. Ray arrived by train looking very nervous unlike Laura who arrived in a beautiful Rolls Royce driven by our good friend Tony of Apollo Carriages, she look relaxed and stunning.
After a lovely ceremony Laura was surprised thanks to her friend Wendy with a Guard of Honor made up of children from teh first year she taught which was a very emotional moment for all of us and a little too much for Laura who wept uncontrollably for a few moments.
After a few brief showers we headed into the gardens for some lovely family shots and then off to feed the Giraffes although Sue headed off to watch Penny (the chief bridemaid) feed the lamas, Laura and Ray had presented her with this as a gift because it was also her 5th wedding anniversary on Friday.
This was followed by a wonderful wedding breakfast and great heartfelt speeches.
We then went for a twilight stroll around the park before heading back to the gardens for a fun filled evening full of games on the lawn and dancing.
Thanks guys for a wonderful day and for sitting me next to the naughty best man!
Jules & Sue. X
