Model Portfolio

During the past 5 years or so we have photographed lots of model portfolios but recently have been asked to photograph lots of children for their portfolios as parents hone in on the lucrative market of children’s modeling.   Yesterday we photographed Josh who has already been offered work with an agency .

Karl, Holly and a teepee

On Saturday Sue & i joined Karl and Holly for their long awaited wedding in Stockbridge in Hampshire for their most amazing wedding day.   A long while ago when Holly excitedly called me to book her wedding day photos she was telling me all about the day and including their plans to hold the reception in her parents garden in teepee’s, I was just as excited and had been looking forward to it ever since, a few weeks back Sue & I went up to Holly’s parents house, David and Helen, to check it all out and OMG it was amazing, a beautifully laid out garden backing onto the river test so Sue & I knew we were in for a great wedding, great parents, a great couple and a great location, once again we had struck gold.

When Saturday arrived sue and I drove up to Stockbridge  and started our day with Holly and about a million other people with a few preparation photos, we then left to meet Karl in the pub before moving onto the church where we met the Canon David who led a wonderful ceremony albeit short of 1 or 2 things:)

After the service we drove the short distance back to the mill and was greeted by a wonderful champagne reception, we took Karl and Holly down to the River for a few pictures and later around the beautiful garden before tucking into a scrumptious hog roast and then onto some wonderful relaxed evening photos with some great guest,  later in the evening we watched as Holly and Karl released  Chinese lanterns into the beautiful moonlit sky.

And this is just the begining

New project-New website

For the past few months Sue & I have been building up a new part of our business and its been amazing fun to do, As a sort of spin off from our very successful boudoir photography we are now about to launch our “Saucy Pinups” which are our take on the ever popular 1950s pinup photos.

We were asked just after Christmas if we could shoot a pinup rather than boudoir and although we were happy to try it, I must be honest when I say it was not a roaring success,  we did muddle through and our client was very very happy but we were not as happy as we could have be. So for the past 12 weeks we have been purchasing all sorts of “dressing up clothes” as I call them and so many 1950s props that we have had to build a new storage area.

We are now almost ready to launch, in fact I think within the next week you can expect a message here with all the deatils. We have been so lucky to find 2 makeup artists that specialize in the look as well as our framers who designed a bespoke frame and mount for us.

These pinup shoot all take place in our contemporary studio with all our 1950s props and clothes to hand.

This is a real exciting project for us and I cant wait to share it with you all.

Have a great weekend

Jules

Gareth and Amanda @ Sandbanks

Yesterday we joined Gareth and Amanda for our second Beach themed wedding in 5 days and just as last weeks it was an amazing day, The sun shone and the guests were all in a party mood so the day was just as planned.  We started the day at Sandbanks hotel where we were looked after very well by Paul and his staff, we spent a few minutes with Amanda and her sister Fiona and friend Lucy before heading off to Poole Guildhall to meet the lads for a few shots before the ceremony started.  After a beautiful ceremony we all got onto a London bus and set off for the Quay where we boarded a boat for a couple of hours at sea, needless to say there was bubbly and nibbles to keep everyone very happy.

After a wonderful couple of hours we all headed back to sandbanks for an hour or so on the Beach before a wonderful BBQ wedding breakfast and then some very entertaining speeches from the boys:). After coffee and a little time chilling we headed onto the dance floor for the first dance aptly named “better Together”  I think we all agreed.

What a fabulous wedding and a great couple.

David and LIbby @ Mudeford Beach

On Sunday we joined David and Libby for their intimate wedding at the Christchurch Harbour Hotel for what turned out to be an amazing day. We started our day with Libby and her girls for some relaxed preparation shots before heading down to the ceremony room for a lovely service let by the Dorset Registrars who were as amazing as always. After the brief but beautiful service we all headed outside for some bubbly on the terrace before we took our private ferry across the water to Mudeford Beach where a second champagne reception awaited us in Beech hut 153 which was just brilliant.

We then went for a walk on the Beach with Libby and the Girls and soon after David joined us whist Libby ventured in for a paddle:)  After a relaxing couple of hours we headed back to the hotel for a wonderful wedding breakfast and then chilling on the terrace whilst listening to a Jazz band.

As Libby’s shoes were aptly named   “Perfect Day”
