Rich and Steph @ the Tithe Barn Petersfield

On Saturday we joined Richard and Stephanie for their wedding at The Tithe Barn in Ditcham Near Petersfiled, Its been a while since we were at the Tithe Barn and it was nice to be back again.

We started the day with Rich and Gary for a few relaxed shots and then went in for a few detail and room shots, the room was beautifully decorated by Edwina Sleat from Angels Wedding Collection, Then Steph arrived in a beautiful Bentley  supplied by Yenroc Classics.  We then went into the ceremony for a breif but beautiful service.

After a few brisk photos outside we all went inside for Bangers and Mash banquet cooked to perfection by County caterers Who also looked after Sue & I very well indeed, Thanks Kerry xx.

After the meal we took Steph for a few portraits whilst Rich was setting up his band  before everybody got down to some serious dancing.

We had such a great day and would like to thank Rich for the occasional smile:) Steph for her non stop laughter and Jim for making me smile all day to name but a few !

Simon and Jenny @ Chilworth Manor

On a very crisp and misty Sunday morning we met with Simon and Jenny for a coffee and a chat at the Chilworth Manor which is where we will be joining them for their wedding in December.

After going through our plans for the day the four of us led off to the grounds for a few portraits and the misty backdrops made for some real dramatic photographs as well as a few fun ones.

Sue & I are really looking forward to our December weddings and cant think of a better way to start December than with Simon and Jenny.

Phil and Katie @ Silchester House

On Saturday we travelled up to Silchester house to Join Phil and Katie for their wedding at the wonderful Silchester House.  It was a wonderful morning with crisp blue skies and fortunately it stayed that way late into the afternoon which made for a perfect wedding day.

We started our day with Phil and Katie who both got ready at Silchester House and then took a few shots of the boys nervously trying to look cool:), Katie on the other hand was very cool and unfazed by all the attention which made for some lovely relaxed shots.

After a beautiful ceremony we all headed out into the gardens for a couple of hours and some more relaxed photo’s before we headed off to the quieter end for a few portraits with Phil and Katie. All to the sounds of the Salieri Quartet.

We then went into the wedding breakfast for some great speeches followed by Silchester’s famous and very tasty Lamb Shank followed by Lemon tart (Sue had all the lemon tart tho):).

We then headed back into the house for some great sounds by Hullabaloo who were amazing to listen too.

We had a fantastic day and would like to send a special thanks to Sue for helping us with our groups, Your a star !  and Nikki for just being Nikki:)  and Rebecca for being just the most adorable and polite bridesmaid ever.

Lastly I would like to point out that it was NOT ME who ate all the flying saucers, I dont even like sweets:)

The Rose Road Association

Once again this year Sue & I have donated to several charities and for the second year we have donated  to The Rose Road Association which is a local charity to which we have links to from our client and friend Gary Thomasson.

We have donated a couple of photo shoots with a framed photo to help with their raffle and wish them every success again this year.

The Rose Road Association has operated in the south Hampshire area since 1952, and has a sound reputation for its quality services for children and young adults with profound and multiple disabilities. If you would like to donate please visit their site here where you will find a link.

If you know of a good charity then Sue & I are always happy to consider it when we can, please do let us know.

A few favorite portraits from this year

As Christmas approaches, those of us with Portrait Studios start to gear up for those Christmas Portrait Deals thats everyone wants and Sue & I are no different. We always do very well at Christmas which I think is largely down to our relaxed approach and very contemporary style, and of course the fact we produce some wonderful photographs helps:)

Here are just a few of our favs from 2008 so far.

This one was taken in the New Forest just a few weeks ago, Beki and Jo are a fab couple and very good to photograph as you can see here.

Stuart and Sophie came to our studio earlier in the year and we took some great family shots but this one of Izzie is amongst my favorites. She just looks perfect it this pose.

We photographed Simon and Sara’s wedding in 2006 and last month they brought up Thomas for a few Christmas Portraits.  He was just perfect.

This is Sam,   We photograph Sam at his nursery every year and Mum brought him up for a few portraits, we caught him here playing with his bricks.

Mark and Holly came along with their beautiful daughter Rose and we had a great afternoon.

Well,  what can I say about Neil and Steph,  probably the best fun I have had all year !

This is Talis, our little dragon slayer for those of you that follow our blog.

We met with Ian and Joanne for a few portraits and this is one of our favorites from the day, later we photographed Ian and Joannes wedding which you can find in the wedding section here.

Paul and Ann Marie came to us for a photo to use at their wedding which we were not shooting, Paul and Ann Marie were married last month up “T” north,  A lovely couple and I am sure the wedding was fab.

This is Lizzie who lives next door to us, She is a wonderful young lady and we both had a great time photographing her as part of her 21st Birthday present.

Another regular family who we had great fun with.

This was Oliver,  we met Olivers parents at Jenny & Jasons wedding that we shot in 2007.  Oliver had a great “camera smile”

This is Jodie. We have photographed Jodies family for the past couple of years and lots of her Sister Cassy.

Again we met Isabel’s parents at a wedding,  we had great fun with this little angel.

We photographed Chris and Danielle firstly at their engagement, then wedding, then maternity and at last with their beautiful daughter.

The coolest dude of 2008  (so far) !

George and Becky “AKA” Mr & Mrs George,    those of you that followed our blog will know just how much we enjoyed shooting these two

Another one of our couples, Marc and Gemma came up last month with their new son Ethan, a proper chip off the old block Ethan loves the camera.

And again, Dave and Cat are one of our couples from 2007 who brought up there wonderful Son for a few Christmas present portraits.

Lastly for now but by no means least were the Barbers, our all adventure frill seeking family…  We had a blast with all sorts of toys but I think this is my personal best.
