Kenny and Amanda @ Highcliffe Castle

On Friday we joined Kenny and Amanda at their wedding at Highcliffe Castle on what was another fantastic day full of laughter, sunshine and a few glasses of bubbly on the lawn.

We started the day with Kenny and the boys and did a few relaxed (well I was relaxed but Im not sure about Kenny) around the castle before Amanda arrived looking sensational !   We then went into a beautiful ceremony let by Dorset registrars who were great.

After the ceremony we all met on the lawn for a lovely champagne reception followed by a few photographs and then a stroll around the grounds for some portraits before heading into the wedding breakfast and then some very emotional speeches before Sue & I finished at the cake cutting.

We had hoped to revisit the beach with Kenny and Amanda but the time just flew by and it was dark once we finished the speeches but we are hoping to do this after the honeymoon.

All in all another perfect Highcliffe castle wedding.

Jo and Beki’s Engagement photo’s

Last month we took Jo and Beki out to the new forest for a few Engagement photos for an hour or so.  We had planned to go to the Beach but as the weather was not fantastic we decided to go into Lyndhurst and find a few interesting spots there.

We had a great evening and are both very much looking forward to there wedding early next year, We just know its going to be fab,

I would have loved to post these sooner but Sue & I have been so busy with our weddings that I have fallen behind with anything other than wedding blogging.

We do a free of charge engagement shoot with all of our weddings and you get to choose a beautiful framed image as well all included in our packages.

Jo and Beki, you guys were great, x

Neil and Steph @ Elms Barn Norfolk

After a fab wedding on Saturday Sue & I were up bright and early (well early you know what Sue is like in the morning). We left for Norfolk around 6am and had a  great drive up to Elms Barn. When we arrived Steph came running out to greet us which was just a fantastic way to start work:),  We spent a couple of hours before the ceremony with both Neil and Steph shooting a few very relaxed preparation shots and a few lovely details as well as getting to know the Hair and Makeup people who were local to Norfolk and did a fab job with Steph and Nikki.  (I will try to source the details and update this later)

Once Steph’s Bentley had arrived I took a few shots then darted across to the Barn to meet Sue, A beautiful and very moving ceremony followed  before we left for the gardens for a lovely champagne reception and a few nibbles and then a few fun group shots and some portraits around the stream.

We then went into the wedding breakfast and the food was fab,  The speeches again were very emotional and then Neil & Steph were given a brick from Twickenham  as well as a rather fab tea towel from Neils sisters who gave one to everyone.

We were then led into the gardens for a surprise Laser Show by Laser Visuals which was just fantastic before heading on in to dance with fantastic music from Monitor !

We Met Neil and Steph a couple of years ago at Simon and Sara’s wedding, Simon and Sarah can be seen below with their beautiful new baby Thomas.

What a fab way to finish a perfect weekend.

Gareth and Genevieve @ The Botleigh Grange

This weekend was probably our busiest of the year, not because of the amount of weddings but the distance we had to travel, But to start our weekend we had a lovely local wedding with a great couple Gareth and Genevieve.

We started our day at Genevieve’s parents house in Bishops Waltham with a few relaxed preparation shots before heading off to the local church St John the Baptist in Church Road.  After a lovely service we took a few shots and then headed on back to the reception venue The Botleigh Grange which is a popular venue of ours.

We had a few very relaxed shots on the lawns before heading into the wedding breakfast which was served before some great speeches and a scrummy cake.

After the cake we headed off back to the lakes for some more portraits and lots more laughter:)Gareth and Genevieve definitely enjoyed their day and made the most of the beautiful weather.

We were joined by Chris and Chris (yes it was confusing) from the Curious Wedding Film Co who video’d the day and we both enjoyed every minute of it.

We had a lovely sunny day with Gareth and Genevieve and stayed long into the night.

Stuart and Sophie @ East Wellow

On Friday we travelled to East Wellow to join Stuart and Sophie for their wedding day.  We met with Stuart and Sophie a long while ago when they had decided to get married in the Tythe Barn in petersfield, Fast forward to a few months ago and they decided to change the venue to St Margarets Church in Wellow which is the resting place of Florence Nightingale and then a Marquee in Sophie’s parents house.  I must admit that when we met with Stephen and Siriol (Sophie’s parents) at their beautiful house which Stephen had designed I had my doubts that it would be ready for the wedding, I am pleased to say they were unfounded and the house and gardens looked amazing and made for a truly stunning wedding venue.

We arrived at the house in what was fairly decent weather but it soon deteriorated into a steady rainy wet day but that did not dampen the mood at all,  Sophie smiled from our arrival at 11am and was still smiling when we left at 9:30, Stuart just laughed and joked all day long and between them they created just the most special atmosphere which everybody enjoyed.

We often have to put up with wet or damp weather but seldom do we have a day like Friday, Everybody was just fantastic and it definitely did not matter what the weather did.

After a wonderful ceremony we all made our way back to the marquee for champagne and nibbles before a few photos then the wonderful wedding breakfast followed by some very humorous and moving (nice one Stu) speeches and then some dancing,  We then were treated to an amazing Hog Roast which was my personal favorite so far and I am trying to find the details and will post here later.

The day was made all the more brighter thanks to Isobel their wonderful flower girl and daughter.

All in all it was a wonderful day surrounded by wonderful caring people.

John and Sally @ The Terravina

On Saturday we joined John and Sally for their very relaxed wedding in the beautiful boutique hotel The Terravina which is located between Lyndhurst and Netley Marsh in Southampton.

From the start both John and Sally decided they wanted the day to be about a celebration and just hoped that everyone would enjoy the weather and atmosphere,  well they got their wish.

The day was very relaxed and for the most part the sun shone and we spent most of the day in the gardens.

Talis the bridesmaid  had chosen the cake for the wedding, I think you will agree it was a great choice and brought a smile to everyones face.

Paul and Emily @ The Gate Street Barn

On Friday we travelled to the Gate Street Barn in Surrey to Join Paul and Emily for there beautiful wedding. When we arrived the weather looked far from perfect but as seems to be the way for 2008 things started to improve shortly after we started.

We met with Paul and the lads for a few fun shots whilst we waited for the guests to arrive and soon enough the coach turned up full of smiley guests followed shortly by Emma in a lovely little Morris Minor, after a few more pre wedding shots we went into the barn for the ceremony which was beautifully decorated with flowers by Gill Pike.

After a brief but beautiful ceremony we took Paul and Emily off for 10 minutes for a few portraits before heading back for a few family groups all achieved before the rain set in again which was just perfect because we were all called in for a scrummy wedding breakfast thanks to Jo and Nigel from Piglets.

Later everybody got down to some serious dancing thanks to the wonderful Buzz Lightweights.

This post and photographs are dedicated to absent friends x

Ed and Hannah @ Winchester Guildhall

On Saturday we joined Edward and Hannah for their wedding in Winchester on what again turned out to be a perfect day for a wedding.

We started to day with Hannah and the girls ( and Alasdair ) at home for a few prep shots, Or so we thought, What we really went to was Hannah’s house of fun….. for what was a great pre wedding hour or two, My only saving grace was Alasdair saved me from the 8 or so woman there:)

We then left to meet Edward and Best man Carl at St Bartholomew’s church in Winchester and then we had a lovely ceremony conducted by The Reverend Michael Starr  before a few group photo’s over in the park. The guests then left on a coach for the Guildhall and I stayed with Edward and Hannah for a few portraits in the park.

After a very quick (thanks Pauly) trip back to the Guildhall Guidhall in an RS 6 we had a lovely drinks reception and then a few shots in the park next door before a wonderful wedding breakfast.

But thats when the fun really started, For some reason Edward and Hannah decided to put Sue & I on the Naughty table !!!  and obviously they were naughty but I can honestly (well almost honestly) say that we had nothing to do with the rigging of the competition and we were robbed by the awful judges!!!!!

After the speeches and the bitter disappointment of loosing out on our magnum of bubbly we decided to make all the bridal party walk off there dinner with a trip up the high street for a few photos. We then returned to party and dance for the rest of the night,

Sue & I had a fantastic day with a great bunch of people ( except those that cheated us ) and look forward to showing you all our photos.
