Tyrone and Abbie @ Exbury Gardens

On Saturday we joined Tyrone and Abbie for what turned out to be a fantastic day with wall to wall V-dubs and sunshine.

We started the day with Abbie at there house in Brockenhurst for an hour or so and then drove to St Saviours Church just across the village and met with Tyrone and the lads.

Abbie then arrived in a beautifully restored VW beetle that she had brought as a wedding gift for Tyrone which was a very well kept secret in such a small village, The bridesmaids arrived in a beautiful VW camper which suited the day very well.

After a wonderful service we took a few shots at the church and then drove together to Exbury gardens grabbing a few shots along the way in my usual hanging out of the car fashion:). Once at Exbury we had a fantastic day with lots of children and various activities as well as lots of summer punch (not me of course) hehe.

Later in the evening we strolled around Exbury taking a few very relaxed portraits with Tyrone and Abbie.

Sue & I drove home at sunset and what a perfect end to a great weekend.

Tony and Laura @ Larmer Tree Gardens

On Friday we photographed the first of our 2 weekend weddings at Larmer Tree Gardens in Whiltshire with Tony and Laura and we had a pretty unusual day to say the least.

On arriving in the carpark 2 Macaws flew over our car and landed next to us making a serious racket:)followed my a few Peacocks so it was a very adventurous location.

We then Met with our good friend Mick from the Romsey Carriage Company driving one of his beautiful Bentley cars where we took a few pictures of Tony and the lads and lasses who were ushers:)

After Laura arrived we walked through the beautiful gardens upto the ceremony room which looked wonderful, Unfortunately the Wiltshire registrars refused to allow us any photographs at all during the service GRRRRRR… which is very very annoying and I have to say very unusual for civil ceremonies and very unfair towards the couples.

After the ceremony we spent a couple of lovely hours walking around the grounds with some sunshine and intermittent showers (well it was Glastonbury weekend) and it was a lovely relaxed afternoon.

We then went into the wedding breakfast for the speeches before Sue & I left for the day.

Neil & Helen @ Longwood Shooting Lodge

On Saturday we photographed the wedding of Neil and Helen on what was a fairly typical Midsummer Solstice day with a few showers and a few sunny spells but despite that everybody had a wonderfully relaxed day and evening at the Shooting Lodge in Longwood.

We started our day at Helens Mums farm and then went onto there local church St Andrews Owslebury and then after a beautiful Service we had a Christening for Neil and Helens Youngest Harrison.  Helen then had the great idea that I should climb the bell tower to get a great shot of everybody !  Thanks Helen:)

We then drove to Longwood Shooting Lodge where we had a wonderful meal and afternoon before trying out the various and very well planned activities which included a bouncy Castle and a bucking Bronco both of which the Bride and Groom tried.

Later in the evening everybody danced to a wonderful barn dance group and the atmosphere was electric,

Chris and Emma @ the Novatel

On Saturday we photographed the wedding of Chris and Emma at the Novatel Southampton on what was another fantastic sunny day with a great bunch of people.

We started off with Emma at her Mum’s house before meeting with Chris and the boys at the Novatel for a few photo’s before Emma made a very grand entrance in a limo from Abbey Limos.

The whole day was very relaxed even the ceremony halted for a brief moment whilst Chris the Groom answered his phone:)

The wedding breakfast was wonderful and as always Lisa and her staff looked after everybody.

Later in the evening we were entertained by Gary the DJ from Expressions and the first dance soon started, after a few moments Chris and Emma burst into a fantastic dance routine which had everyone there in stitches and musy have been the talking point of the evening.

Fantastic !

Tommy and Kirstie @ Marwell Hotel

On Friday Sue & I had the privilege of photographing our best friends son’s wedding at Marwell Hotel in Hampshire. For many years Sue & I have known Tommy and Kirstie so were delighted when we were asked to photograph there big day which turned out to be one of our best days this year despite the forecast of rain.

We started the day with Kirstie and her Bridesmaids then Tommy arrived in his dad’s TVR “nessy” and we had a great time photographing Tommy and his bestman and another longtime friend of ours Martin.

The whole day was a very relaxed time and all of there guests enjoyed the long summer day out in the grounds of the Marwell Hotel to the sounds of Sam and Craig who played up until the wedding Breakfast.

Later in the evening we had a great DJ Dean Stuart from Les Hart entertainments followed by a perfect Roast Hog cooked to perfection by Richard and Sara Whittall.

All in all it was a perfect day.

Matthew and Sarah @ Carey’s Manor

This Saturday we photographed the wedding of Matt and Sarah at Carey’s Manor in Brockenhurst on what turned out to be a beautiful June day with sunshine from 9am until almost 10pm,  This gave the guests a wonderful relaxed day lounging around the grounds sipping champagne and gave Matt and Sarah the wedding day they had dreamed of.

We arrived at Carey’s Manor around 09:30 and spent a couple of hours with Sarah and Sarah (yes there were 2)  first then Matt and the guys preparing for the big day.  The “Sarah’s” had there hair and makeup done by Beautiful Brides of New Milton who did a great job. Once Noon arrived we had a perfect ceremony and then out on the lawn for drinks and photos,  We had a great time with the guests who had travelled from all over including  Poland for the wedding,  Matt is a Policeman so lots of Police in attendance which always makes for a party atmosphere helped along by Steve Thompson DJ,  I am pleased to say the dancing went on long into the night,  Sue & I left around 10pm when Matt and Sarah headed back to join Uncle Bob on the dancefloor.

A great day !
