On Saturday Sue & I travelled up to Holybourne Near Alton to photograph the wonderful wedding of Matt and Kellie which started off at Kellie’s Mum & Dads House which was only 500 yards from the beautiful local church of the holy rood Holybourne.

From the second Sue & I arrived Kellie’s family made us feel extremely welcome and just relaxed around us which helped us achieve some great preparation shots prior to leaving for the church where we met Matt and the boys walking up the lane towards to church.

When Kellie arrived with her Dad she looked amazing and almost everybody there had a tear in there eye when she walked into the crowded church, We then had a very moving ceremony led by Andrew followed by church bells and photographs out around the duck pond.

After the guests left for The Farnham House Hotel we stopped of at Holybourne Hill for a few sneaky photo’s in the local farmers field which turned out to be great fun, we then made a grand entrance at the hotel where Kellie had arranged for a surprise for Matt,  Kellie had arranged SoSinatra to sing to the guests for a couple of hours whilst they had drinks on the very sunny lawn.  This turned out t be one of the highlights of the afternoon and one that everybody enjoyed with a few dancealongs as well as singalongs.

We then had a great meal some fab speeches before heading back outside to enjoy the rest of the day, Sue & I made the most of the beautiful light and took Matt and Kellie for a stroll around the lake and along the local lanes.

We finished our time with Matt and Kellie and there families after a great first Dance and some great music from Ashley Riggs.

Our Mini Adventure

Sue & I decided to treat ourselves to a new car last week, well we actually ordered it a couple of months ago but it arrived last week thanks to Shaun Hinton up at our local Mini showroom.  Shaun was just brilliant and we cant thank him enough for his help in choosing and speccing this car, we are both delighted with it.

We decided on a Mini Cooper S with a full JCW kit as well as lots of other upgrades which I am sure those of you out there into your cars will notice.

Our Mini Adventure Begins.

But we had a good excuse or two ! 

WARNING GEEK ALERT !!!

As you will know from previous posts we choose May to change our computer system over form PC to Mac and its now been completed, It took me around 14 days to change all of our data as well as all of our programs and software across and I am pleased to say its all finished and it was a great experience. Our workflow will now be so much easier and faster thanks to our new blazingly fast 8 Core mac pro’s each with 14 gigs of ram as well as very fast graphics cards. 

We had made the partial move last year which certainly made this move a lot smoother and Now Sue & I can look forward to a much better time working in the studio.

The final part of the swap-over will be 2x  30″ apple screens which should arrive very soon.

Sue & I have always offered our very popular ”birthday party shots” which are as much an experience as a shoot and very popular with the 13 – 18 year old girls especially when they bring along 5 or 6 friends and a few changes of clothes.

Sammy came along with a few mates and we had a great afternoon and took some brilliant photographs which Sammy loved.

Sue & I had a great time photographing the wedding of Neil and Fiona at The Elvetham in Hartley Witney Hampshire and were blessed with beautiful weather.  

From the very start everything was perfect from the Horse and Carriage for the Bride through to the wonderful music which saw the evening out.

Fiona’s beautiful dress was supplied by our good friends at Elderberry Brides in Basingstoke.

Fiona was very lucky to have her good friend  Jules (not me) on hand to do her hair and makeup before taking on responsibilities as Bridesmaid.

After a beautiful service at there local church Christchurch  we followed Neil and Fiona in there beautiful Horsedrawn carriage to The Elvetham where we enjoyed even more sunshine and a few great photographs in and around the beautiful grounds.

We then were entertained by the wonderful Fitz-elliot duo  with there Flute and Harp which was just amazing and added to the perfect atmosphere at The Elvetham.

Later in the evening we were entertained by our fellow Southampton residents The Fourth Element  who as always treated us to some fantastic music throuout the evening.

Sue & I always love working at the Elvetham and look forward to our next wedding there in the summer.
