Getting to know us.

Hello and welcome to our blog – well this is more than our blog really as it’s an online journal of our working life with a few personal adventures thrown into the mix, which should all make for an exciting read. It’s also an ideal place for us to keep in touch with our past, future and existing clients.

First and foremost Sue & I are wedding photographers so to be fair most of what you experience here will be wedding related, but we also enjoy contemporary portraiture both in our modern studio and around Hampshire and especially in the New Forest.

We also hope this blog with be a great informative source for those looking for a wedding or a portrait photographer as well as most other things photography related.

Jonathan and Emma @ Great Fosters

On Saturday we joined Jonathan and Emma for there winter wedding at Great Fosters in Surrey on what was a cold but wonderfully sunny day.   We started our day with Emma at her parents house for some lovely relaxed preparation photos before heading off to the pub to meet with Jonathan and the boys.  Soon after we headed off to the Church for the ceremony.

After the ceremony we left for Great Fosters which was a 25 minute drive. On arrival we decided to head off into the gardens with Jonathan and Emma for a few lovely portraits whilst the guests arrived which is a great way to fill this time if there is a distance beteween the ceremony venue and the reception venue.

After our portraits and a few family photos we all headed in out of the cold to enjoy the rest of the reception,  Then into the wedding breakfast for a yummy Lamb meal before some emotional and very funny speeches and onto the dancing, the whole day flew by and before we knew it we were saying our goodbye’s.

This was our first wedding at Great Fosters and I am sure it wont be our last, its a great venue and the management and staff are just amazing,

My Baby Sis…..

Well her children,

Last week my Sister and her partner came for a visit to get the kids photographed,  its probably been 10 months since we photographed them.  We had a lovely couple of hours and got some great photos, I would post a few of Nikki and Kevin but she would shoot me :-)

e-shoot at Lainston House

Last week amidst a brief snowfall we met with Robin and Emma at Lainston House for a few engagement photos prior to their wedding next month,  Apart from the snow and it being boggy underfoot, it was lovely  and we are both looking forward to the lovely wedding.

Being boggy underfoot did not stop Sue suggesting that I lay down for the “shooting through the flower shot” yeah she is all heart.   We do an engagement shoot with all our couples, its a great way to get to know them better and a fine excuse for a coffee as well.
