  • Welcome to our blog!

Hello and welcome to our blog – Well this is more than a blog really as its an online journal of our working life with a few personal adventures thrown into the mix, Which should all make for an exciting read. Its also an ideal place for us to keep in touch with our past, future and existing clients.

First and foremost Sue & I are wedding photographers so to be fair most of what you experience here will be wedding related, but we also enjoy contemporary portraiture both in our modern studio and out and about in Hampshire, especially in the New Forest.

We also hope this blog will be a great informative source for anybody looking for a wedding or portrait photographer as well as anything more specialized that we do. You can find out about these by checking out our other websites on the left hand sidebar. We have been blogging since 2006 so you should find something of interest or someone you know!

Craig and Helen

On Saturday we joined Craig and Helen in Somerset for their dream wedding,  Sue and I headed off to Somerset about 8am on a wet and blustery saturday morning with visions of yet another August washout day but with the comfort of knowing that we both produce our best work when we are placed outside of our comfort zone and Saturday would be no different, Craig is an Australian Navy Pilot so we knew he would be ok no matter what the weather did, and after speaking to Helen last week she made it quite clear that her beautiful wedding dress and shoes were only going to be worn once so “lets go for it”

We started our day at Helens parents house which overlooked the beautiful church of  chisselborough, after a couple of hours and a few very relaxed preperation photos we headed off to the local pub to meet a very nervous Craig with the lads, incidentally it was in this very pub 3 years ago that Craig and Helen met,  We then headed off to the church to meet the vicar and await Helens arrival.

Helen arrived in an old Jag looking spectacular  and walked into a packed church and into a beautiful ceremony,

After the ceremony we did a few group shots at the church because the weather had taken a turn for the better and had stopped raining. This also meant that Craig and Helen could carry on a “village” tradition of walking from the beautiful church back to the parents home which in this case was also the venue and home to a beautiful marquee.

We had an amazing wedding breakfast and speeches and the the music kicked off which was our time to leave,  it was great to see our old pals Geoge and Becky at the wedding as well as a few of there guests,

Thanks so much for looking after us guys.

Alex and Julia get married @ The Norte Dame School in Cobham

On Saturday we joined Alex and Julia for there lovely wedding at the Nortre Dame School in Cobham which was a vvery special place for them both.  Julia had gone to school there.  We started our day with Julia at home before heading off to see Alex and the boys prior to the service,

The service took place in the School Chappel led by the Arch Bishop, the service was very mooving and as the service ended a clap of thunder signifield the opening of the heavens:-)  fortunatkly after a 30 minute indoor reception we were able to go outside to do the family groups and then headed into a wonderful dinner, although to be fair, Sue and I were sat in the “mad” table:-)

later the dancing started and Sue and I headed off home, Exausted but very happy after a wonderful wedding

Training Day with Rich.

We recently did a Boudoir training day With a great photographer Mr Rich Bailey who is looking to expand his business in this area,  I cant show you any images here but pop over to our training website where you can read more.

Yesterday we received this lovely email from Rich.

Jules, Sue

I just wanted to write to you to thank you again for the outstanding day’s boudoir training that I attended recently. The day was fantastic, and my photography has moved to a different level as a result of it.

The studio was amazing, and the models wonderful – and very different in their approaches, creating different challenges to photograph which you patiently coached me through. You had clearly thought about how to challenge me creatively, tailoring the day for me rather than putting me through a standard course. You blended the business side, with the fun of the shoot, with the technical post processing side incredibly well, creating a seamless experience – I genuinely did not know where the time went!

On top of that, you and Sue were great fun to be around. You quickly helped me  to relax into the day (helped by Sue’s wonderful coffee!), were patient, and generous with your knowledge. I left the day with a series of amazing images, knowledge and confidence to do this on my own, copies of all your marketing material and key actions you use for a shoot, and  (arguably most importantly) two new friends!

I would not hesitate to recommend this course to other photographers.
